Sculture del palazzo della Villa Borghese detta Pinciana
A two-volume catalogue of the Greek and Roman marbles in the Villa Borghese, engraved by Tommaso Piroli with descriptions by Luigi Lamberti and Ennio Quirino Visconti, published in Rome in 1796 for antiquarians and collectors. The 134 plates are pure outline engravings of single statues, busts and reliefs on blank grounds, giving clean contour figures, drapery folds and pedestals that separate cleanly for silhouette or line work.
