The second wash, or, The moore scour'd once more : being a charitable cure for the distractions of Alazonomastix

Vaughan, Thomas, 1621-1666 · 1651 · London : Printed by T.W. ... · 2 pictures

A 1651 London pamphlet by the Welsh alchemist Thomas Vaughan, answering Henry More's attacks on his occult writings, aimed at learned readers in the era's printed quarrels over alchemy and natural philosophy. The scanned pages here are the binding rather than the text: hand-marbled endpapers in black, tan and blue with tight nautilus curls and combed veining, plus a plain dark red cloth board, useful as tileable backgrounds, cover stock or texture overlays.
