Segmenta nobilium signorum e statuaru : quæ temporis dentem inuidium euasere Urbis æternæ ruinis erepta, typis æneis ab se commissa perptuæ uenerationis monimentum
A 1638 Rome-printed engraved album by the French etcher François Perrier, recording antique marble statues then surviving in the city for painters, sculptors and collectors who could not study the originals. Each plate isolates a single standing nude or draped figure against blank paper, modelled in fine hatching with cast shadow, a plinth and a tree-stump or drapery support; useful for figure studies, classical bodies and stock line-engraved anatomy.
