A series of ornamental timber gables : from existing examples in England and France, of the sixteenth century
A measured-drawing folio of 1831 issued by A. Pugin in London with Benjamin Ferrey and Edward James Willson, recording sixteenth-century carved timber gables surviving in England and France for architects, builders and carvers. The engraved plates show gable apexes in elevation and detail, with pierced tracery panels, scrolling vine bargeboards, crockets, finials, pendants and cusped spandrels drawn as clean outline against blank ground.
