Dyer's account book, Volume 1
A manuscript dyer's account book from 1855, kept as a working trade record of dye recipes and orders, with woven textile samples stitched onto its leaves. The plates are combed marbled endpapers in rust, ochre, blue and black, and pages of small geometric woven swatches in red, indigo and green pinned beside handwritten notes, useful as repeat patterns, palette references and ready-made paper textures.
