A self-published album by the German chemist Friedlieb Ferdinand Runge, issued in Oranienburg in 1858, in which each copy carries actual dye specimens blotted on filter paper, captioned in German for chemists and naturalists. The images are circular bleed patterns in cobalt, ochre and grey-green, with radiating fringed rims and concentric halos, usable as organic roundels, stains and ink-blot textures.
