Acid Colors on Piece Goods
A dyestuff sample book issued around 1900 by the National Aniline and Chemical Company to show mill buyers and dyers the results of acid colors on wool and cotton piece goods. Each page mounts six swatches of dyed cloth beside the dye name and application percentage, giving designers exact saturated reds, magentas, oranges, yellows and teals with visible weave texture and stray threads.
