Benzo Colours on Cotton Yarn, Part II
A dyer's sample book issued in 1921 by Farbenfabriken vorm. Friedrich Bayer & Co. of Leverkusen, showing the firm's Benzo direct cotton dyes to mill dyers and textile buyers. Each page mounts strips of dyed cotton yarn in graded columns beside German recipe captions naming the dye, developer and mordant, giving designers dense colour fields of maroon, indigo, ochre and scarlet against aged paper, plus small-type technical labelling.
