Praktisches Handbuch des Zeugdrucks
A German practical handbook of textile printing by Eduard Lauber, published in 1905 for dyers, colourists and calico-print works. The plates are tipped-in samples of actual printed cloth, captioned with the dye recipe used: warp-like stripe repeats, paisley and small floral sprigs, scalloped white-on-red borders, and dense mottled resist grounds in crimson, indigo and blue, usable as ready-made pattern swatches and colour references.
