Benzo Colours on Cotton Cloth
A dyer's sample book issued around 1900 by the Bayer Company to show its Benzo direct dyes on cotton cloth, made for mill colourists and textile buyers. Each page mounts a grid of three dyed cloth swatches per shade, labelled with dye name and percentage strength, giving designers ready palettes of blues, violets, purples and browns with visible woven texture and letterpress captions.
