The silversmith's handbook : containing full instructions for the alloying and working of silver, including the different modes of refining and melting the metal; its solders; the preparation of imitation alloys...
A trade manual by George E. Gee on alloying, refining, melting and working silver, issued in London by Crosby Lockwood and Son in 1921 for working silversmiths and apprentices. The wood-engraved figures show crucibles, ingot moulds and furnace vessels in plain outline with dense ruled hatching and cast shadows, useful as isolated tool silhouettes or line-shading reference.
