The Badminton Magazine of Sports and Pasttimes 1897-07: Vol 5 Iss 24
A monthly British sports periodical issued by Longman, Green & Co. in July 1897, aimed at the leisured amateur sportsman following yachting, hunting, cycling and field games. Halftone photographs of racing yachts and moored fleets sit beside pen-and-ink scenes of riders and cyclists under trees; useful for silhouetted rigging, dense crosshatched foliage, and near-black tonal plates.
