Outdoor Life for April 1901, a monthly American sporting magazine for hunters, anglers and campers, issued in Denver and reproduced here from microfilm. Its plates are halftone photographs, mostly grey and coarse-grained: a bull elk in timber, a hunter shouldering a shotgun beside pointers, snow-filled conifer stands and rocky mountain valleys, set in ruled frames with small capitalised captions.
