Six Greek sculptors
Ernest Arthur Gardner's 1915 survey of Myron, Pheidias, Polykleitos, Skopas, Praxiteles and Lysippos, published in London and New York for students and general readers of Greek art. The 81 halftone plates are museum photographs of marble and bronze figures against black grounds, many cropped to heads and torsos, giving designers high-contrast profiles, carved hair, and drapery folds.
