A needlework and fundraising manual by Mary Gay Humphreys and E. W. Boardman, published by Funk & Wagnalls in New York in 1885 for women organizing church fairs and bazaars to sell handmade goods. Halftone plates show drawn-thread and knotted lace worked on dark grounds, plus line diagrams of circles on grids; useful for repeat patterns, geometric rosettes, and open grid textures.
