A practical handbook on managing small yachts, half-decked and open sailing boats, written by English yachtsman and journalist E. F. Knight and published in New York by E. P. Dutton in 1902 for amateur sailors and cruisers. The pen-and-ink figures show single boats under sail in profile on short hatched waves, with rigging, sheets and reef points drawn line by line and crews reduced to a few strokes, useful as rig diagrams, silhouettes or spot illustrations.
