A small collection of ancient rosettes as found on Roman monuments
A plate album of Roman ornamental rosettes drawn by Carlo Antonini in late eighteenth-century Rome, reissued in 1913 by the London architectural publisher J. Tiranti for architects, modellers and ornament draughtsmen. Each engraving isolates one carved boss against dark hatching: acanthus petals, layered flower centres, square and circular frames, with strong cast shadow giving usable high-contrast silhouettes and rotational motifs.
