Social science in the light of the solar system
An astrology treatise by Mary Anna Myles, self-published in San Jose, California, in 1913, applying planetary correspondences to social and human affairs for lay readers. The plates are hand-lettered horoscope wheels — concentric rings, twelve numbered houses, scalloped cusp notches and planet names written along the spokes — usable as circular diagram frames, dial motifs and occult line ornament.
