Some English gardens;
A colour-plate garden book of 1904, with watercolours by George Samuel Elgood and text by Gertrude Jekyll, issued in London and New York by Longmans, Green & Co. for English gardening readers. The fifty-four plates are loosely brushed views of clipped yew hedges, borders of hollyhocks, roses and lilies, stone terraces, paths and old manor walls, giving designers soft-edged colour massing, green architecture and full-page garden vignettes.
