Some famous country parishes
A 1911 American account of English country parishes by Methodist minister Ezra Squier Tipple, issued by Eaton & Mains in New York for a churchgoing readership interested in religious history and English travel. The ninety plates are halftone photographs of parish churches, rectories, lychgates and churchyards seen across lawns and through bare trees, useful for textures of ivied stone, clipped yew, and grey English skies.
