Some notes on the telegraph companies of the United States; their stamps and franks
A privately printed collector's monograph by Joseph S. Rich, issued in New York in 1900, cataloguing the stamps and franks of American telegraph companies for philatelists and telegraph historians. The thirty line-block reproductions show small rectangular stamp designs with engine-turned lathe grounds, company names curved on banners, large numerals for word counts and cents, and corner ornaments — a source of compact engraved frames, guilloche patterns, and display lettering at stamp scale.
