Some old time meeting houses of the Connecticut Valley
A local architectural history by Charles Albert Wight, printed at Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, in 1911, surveying Congregational meeting houses along the Connecticut River Valley for New England antiquarians and parish readers. Halftone photographs and a few reproduced old engravings show white clapboard facades, columned porticoes, clock faces and tiered steeples, giving designers clean silhouettes of American church towers against plain sky.
