A 1906 souvenir viewbook of Alberta towns, compiled by J. A. Cockburn and printed as halftones by the James Bayne Co. of Grand Rapids, Michigan, for settlers, boosters and visitors to the young province. Pages group two to four vignetted photographs per plate—brick banks, courthouses, main streets with dirt roads, stooked grain fields—yielding sepia halftone textures, soft feathered edges and ready-made collage layouts.
