A 1915 Hispanic Society of America catalogue of Spanish porcelains and terra cottas compiled by ceramics scholar Edwin Atlee Barber for collectors and museum readers, though the plates gathered here are halftone reproductions of British oil portraits held by the Society. The images show half-length sitters and a seated child against dark grounds, useful as soft-edged tonal figures, period costume reference, and vignette-style portrait frames.
