Specific heat of copper in the interval 0° and 50°, with a note on vacuum-jacketed calorimeters

1915 · National Bureau of Standards · 9 pictures

A 1915 National Bureau of Standards technical paper on the specific heat of copper between 0° and 50°C, issued in Washington for physicists and calibration laboratories working with vacuum-jacketed calorimeters. The plates are line-drawn electrical circuit schematics: Wheatstone bridges, ammeters and standard resistors, battery stacks, switch banks and chronograph relays, labeled with lowercase letters in parentheses and printed on toned paper, giving designers ready-made diagram vocabulary of resistor zigzags, contact dots and wiring runs.
