A specimen of printing types
A type foundry specimen book issued by William Caslon in London in 1785, printed by Galabin and Baker to show printers and publishers the faces and cast ornaments then available. The plates set out typographic flowers assembled into borders, corner blocks, panel frames and rules, offering repeatable letterpress units for frames, dividers and pattern fills.
