Specimens of ancient furniture drawn from existing authorities
An antiquarian survey of English medieval, Tudor and Stuart furniture engraved by Henry Shaw with descriptions by Samuel Rush Meyrick, published by William Pickering in London in 1836 for antiquaries, collectors and Gothic Revival designers. The 82 outline and tonal plates measure individual pieces from existing originals: Gothic tables with pierced tracery aprons, carved chair backs, inlaid panels, scrolled bench supports, often shown with plan views and pencilled notes.
