An antiquarian study of early Christian monuments, inscriptions and sculpture in Milan, written by the Dominican Giuseppe Allegranza and printed in 1757 by the archiepiscopal press of Beniamino Sirtori for clergy and fellow antiquarians. Alongside line engravings recording carved arches, reliefs and lettered inscriptions, the pages carry woodcut headpieces, flowered tailpieces and historiated initials with birds and saints, useful as small ornament stock and sample epigraphic alphabets.
