Sredi kollektsionerov
Ivan Lazarevsky's "Sredi kollektsionerov" (Among Collectors), a Russian handbook on collecting art and old books issued in St Petersburg in 1914 for amateur collectors and dealers. Its plates reproduce eighteenth-century engraved vignettes and tailpieces: putti clambering over rococo cartouches, urns flanked by cypresses, grotesque masks in scrollwork, and a bell hung under a shingled roof — ready-made ornaments, frames and spot decorations.
