Staatliches Bauhaus, Weimar, 1919-1923.
The Bauhaus school's own account of its first four years in Weimar, published 1923 by Bauhausverlag in Weimar and Munich to accompany the school exhibition, addressed to students, patrons and the trade. Halftone plates show plaster and stone sculpture studies, charcoal constructions of arcs and grids, and Gropius buildings, each with numbered sans-serif captions useful as modernist layout and geometric form reference.
