Standard cotton mill practice and equipment, with classified buyer's index
A trade handbook and buyer's index published in 1918 by the National Association of Cotton Manufacturers in Boston, compiled for mill owners, superintendents and machinery purchasers. The plates are halftone catalogue photographs of carding engines, spinning frames, warpers and slashers, each machine shot in three-quarter view against a blank ground, giving designers isolated silhouettes of cast-iron frames, belt pulleys, gear trains and ranks of spindles and bobbins.
