A Latin treatise on Hebrew shekels, talents and measures of dry and liquid goods by the Kraków scholar Stanisław Grzepski, printed by Christopher Plantin at Antwerp in 1568 for humanist and biblical scholars. The plates are woodcut initials in which satyrs, bearded figures and animals twist inside the letterform amid acanthus, plus Plantin's printer's device of a compass held by a hand from the clouds above a harbour, ringed with the motto Constantia et Labore; usable as display capitals, emblem roundels and frame ornament.
