An introductory astronomy reader for children by Agnes Giberne, published by the American Tract Society in New York in 1894. Halftone plates reproduce telescopic photographs of the moon at several phases, grainy grey discs of maria and crater fields set against flat black skies, useful as ready-made circular forms, dotted star fields and coarse screen texture.
