Stars and telescopes; a hand-book of popular astronomy founded on the 9th ed. of Lynn's Celestial motions
A popular astronomy handbook by David P. Todd, built on the ninth edition of W. T. Lynn's Celestial Motions and published in Boston by Little, Brown in 1901 for amateur observers and general readers. Halftone plates show sunspotted solar disks and planetary globes overlaid with measurement lines against grainy black grounds, alongside soft-focus portraits of astronomers, offering circular forms, dotted textures and diagram overlays for collage and cover work.
