Star stories for little folks
An introductory astronomy reader for children written by Gertrude Chandler Warner and published by the Pilgrim Press in Boston and Chicago in 1918. The plates are square white-on-black constellation diagrams — dots of varying size joined by thin straight lines, with hand-lettered names of figures and principal stars such as Sirius, Rigel, Regulus and Antares — usable as ready-made star charts, dot-and-line motifs, or hand-lettered captions.
