An Italian account of the state of the papal Lateran basilica in 1723 by Alessandro Baldeschi and Giovanni Mario Crescimbeni, printed in Rome at the Stamperia di S. Michele a Ripa Grande for clergy and antiquarians. Copperplate engravings show the papal arms with tiara and crossed keys, saints John the Baptist and the Evangelist, reliquary busts of Peter and Paul, and figured woodcut initials.
