Statues of Abraham Lincoln
A 1909 American article-and-photograph record of sculptures of Abraham Lincoln, assembled in the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection, centering on Vinnie Ream and her Capitol marble, for readers of popular history magazines. Coarse halftones show the young sculptor standing beside her clay bust, a painted portrait, and the full-length draped statue cut around by letterpress text, useful for dotty grayscale texture, silhouetted figures set into type, and period studio-photograph framing.
