Steamboat owners - New York, and Long Island Sound : memorial of sundry proprietors and managers of American steamvessels, on the impolicy and injusti
A memorial petition printed for Congress by Blair & Rives in Washington, 1840, in which New York and Long Island Sound steamboat owners argued against proposed steam-vessel regulation. The two figures are plain line diagrams of boiler cross-sections, labelled arches and rows of lettered flue circles, useful as schematic engineering marks or as geometric repeats of circles inside arches.
