Steingefässe
A volume of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo's general catalogue, recording the museum's stone vessels, compiled by the German Egyptologist Friedrich Wilhelm von Bissing and printed in Vienna by A. Holzhausen in 1904 for archaeologists and curators. The plates crowd dozens of jars, bowls, cups and footed vases onto a page as flat outline drawings with solid black fills marking rims, handles and stone veining, each tagged with a small inventory number; useful as a ready supply of vessel silhouettes and as a model for dense catalogue grids.
