Franz Xaver Kugler's Sternkunde und Sterndienst in Babel, published in Münster by Aschendorff in 1907, studies Babylonian astronomy and calendar reckoning through cuneiform tablets, addressed to Assyriologists and historians of science. The plates are hand-drawn facsimiles of tablet faces: ruled columns of wedge signs, numeral groups, line numbers, and inked outlines marking breaks and missing corners.
