A Victorian monthly for the titled classes, edited by Bernard Burke and issued in London by E. Churton from 1850, mixing heraldry with genealogical and historical registers. The plates here come largely from the advertising pages: small wood engravings of trousered legs, fishing boots and garment fits, numbered as tailor's samples and shaded with dense diagonal hatching that reads well at thumbnail size.
