The story of Sir Humphrey Davy and the invention of the safety-lamp
A short juvenile biography of Humphry Davy and his miners' safety lamp, published by T. Nelson in London and New York in 1878 for young readers and Sunday-school prize shelves. The scans here are printer's ornaments rather than scenes: black-line floral tailpieces in triangular arrangements, and ribbon-and-scroll banner headings lettered "The End" and "Lessons from Noble Lives".
