Strawbridge & Clothier's quarterly
Strawbridge & Clothier's quarterly is an 1882 mail-order catalogue issued by the Philadelphia department store to sell dry goods, clothing, and household wares to customers ordering by post. Small wood engravings show lace edgings and handkerchief corners, embroidered shirt fronts and collars, and other goods rendered in dense hatching, useful as ornamental borders, repeat motifs, and period garment spots.
