The Street railway journal
A New York trade periodical for street and electric railway operators, published by McGraw from 1884 and carrying technical reports alongside manufacturers' advertising. The plates mix engraved advertising pages with ornate borders, display lettering and small factory vignettes, and halftone photographs of workshops and staff interiors, useful for period type layouts, industrial frames and documentary machine-shop scenes.
