The Street railway journal
A New York trade periodical for street-railway operators and engineers, published by McGraw from the 1880s onward, reporting on car construction, electrification, and depot practice. The illustration here is a halftone photograph of a tram car body hoisted on chain falls above its trucks inside a carbarn, useful for industrial interiors, overhead lifting gear, riveted roof framing, and period rolling-stock lettering and route boards.
