The structural and industrial materials of California
A California State Mining Bureau survey of building stone, cement, clay and other mineral resources, compiled by state mineralogist Lewis E. Aubury and printed in Sacramento in 1906 for quarry operators, builders and investors. Halftone field photographs show granite and limestone quarry faces, derrick masts, plank tramways, spoil heaps and small plant sheds, useful as grainy rock texture, stark tonal fields and industrial silhouettes.
