A 1903 trade catalogue from the Paine Furniture Company of Boston, selling furniture, rugs and draperies to college students furnishing rooms. The line engravings isolate single objects on blank grounds, using dense hatching and outline to render upholstery fringe, scrolled iron bedsteads, turned legs and figured wood grain, and detach cleanly for spot illustration or pattern work.
