Studies in the decorative art of Japan
A study of Japanese ornament by the English jurist and writer Francis Taylor Piggott, published in London by B. T. Batsford in 1910 for designers, craftsmen and collectors. The plates isolate geometric fret and key patterns in flat black, grey and cream, printed as repeating bands and field tilings that can be lifted directly as borders, backgrounds or textile repeats.
