Studio international
Studio international, the London art periodical begun in 1893 by Cory, Adams & Mackay, reported on painting, prints and applied design for artists, craftworkers and collectors across Britain, Europe and America. The plates are monochrome halftones: soft-focus tonal landscapes with massed trees and low light, alongside flat-patterned graphic prints with stylised silhouettes, useful for atmospheric grounds, tree shapes and period decorative layout.
