Studio international
The Studio was a London art monthly begun in 1893 by Cory, Adams & Mackay, reporting on painting, printmaking and applied design for artists, craftworkers and collectors. Reproductions run heavily to etchings and drypoints: low horizons, bare trees, harbour moorings and masts dissolving into blank sky, useful for sparse tonal skies, drawn foliage and thin line work against wide empty grounds.
